New Forum

 

Beginning in January 2006, a new online Forum for the discussion of Holography issues and techniques was opened. The site was designed by Danny Bruza, and includes a sister website where holography artists may display and sell their work in a gallery-style format.

Internet Radio Show with Frank DeFreitas

 

Frank DeFreitas' world-famous HoloTalk Internet Radio Show aired interviews with Holographers Dinesh Padiyar in July 2005 and Joy Padiyar in November 2005. Dinesh's interview includes commentary on the scientific aspects of holography, while Joy's interview mentions women's roles and offers comments on the public impressions of holography.

Triple Take participates in the San Diego Historical Society Designers' Showcase 2005.
Designers for the refurbished Entry Hall of the historical Haines House in downtown San Diego requested a custom holographic art display to honor the former owner and namesake of the house, Judge Alfred Haines.

In April 2005, Triple-Take Hosted the 2nd annual PCG conference, an educational meeting designed and run by amateur holographers. 12 attendees, such as Larry DeRuscio pictured here, gave presentations of their own work, and joined together in the lab to create a "group project".
TripleTake presented introductory holography courses through the Palomar College Venture Program. Students learned history and principles of holography and worked in the lab to create their own holograms.
USCD invites Triple-Take to present a lecture and demonstration as part of their "Art and Technology" course.
California Institute for the Arts April, 2005. Triple Take presents a lecture and demonstration for the holography students at the California Institute of the Arts in Valencia, CA, followed by a tour of the facility and interacting with students as they present their current projects.
